Is your web site secure?

Shopping with your credit card with Ulalas.com is guaranteed to be safe and secure.

We take extensive steps to process thousands of Internet transactions securely and safely. Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard for securing credit card transactions over the Internet.

This software encrypts all your personal information into an unrecognizable code that is securely transmitted from you to us. When this encrypted information reaches our secure server we translate it back to its original form and store it safely offline and inaccessible through the Internet.

To continue our commitment to your security every credit card processed is run through an address verification process to verify that the card is registered to the billing address on the order.

Can I order over the phone?

Absolutely! We understand it's sometimes easier to talk to a "real person " when placing an order. Call us anytime Monday thru Friday between 10am and 5pm Eastern Standard time. Our number is: (845) 258-1312.

Payment Options

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Paypal as forms of payment. It is our policy to not charge your card until we confirm that your order has shipped. We do however obtain an authorization on your card at the time of your order for the full amount of your order. Please note that this may appear temporarily as a charge on your account statement but it is an authorization only and usually will go away after 24-48 hours.

Re-authorizations after the initial order

We also obtain authorizations for the outstanding balance of your order if a) your order partially ships or b) the existing authorization is about to expire. Should the re-authorization not be successful we will contact you for new payment information. If we are not able to obtain a valid authorization we reserve the right to either cancel your order or charge your card for the outstanding balance of your order. If after we charge your card as a result of not being able to re-authorize you wish to cancel your order please contact us and we will refund your card provided that your order has not yet shipped.

Online Order Status (Tracking info and more)

When you place an order with us you will receive a link that will allow you to track that order. Once your order ships you will receive another email with tracking information (if available).

Confirmation of orders

After placing an order you will get a confirmation email within 10 minutes. If you place an order with us and don't get an confirmation email check your "junk" mail folder - it will probably be in there; otherwise shoot us an email and we'll get you set up.

Tax

You will only be charged tax if you are a resident of New York. We are required by law to charge sales tax on orders shipped to New York addresses which is calculated and itemized during the online ordering process. No sales tax will be applied to orders shipped to addresses in other states.

Shipping

We use UPS (United Parcel Service) for all our shipping. Drop ship items will depend on the individual item and order. Please call for more details.

Overnight delivery is also available for an additional fee on most items. If you need your items to be guaranteed for next day delivery, we will ship them via FedEx (Federal Express).

Returns & Exchanges

We at Ulalas want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you receive an item from us and the item arrives broken you have up to five days from receipt to notify us of any damages, we will then issue a return authorization. We will arrange to have the item picked up and inspected. Please retain all of the original packing materials. We will gladly replace the exact item at no extra charge. If you receive an item from us and decide that you are not satisfied with your purchase please contact us within 5 days of receipt and we will send you a return authorization for your return. We ask that you carefully repack the item so that it does not incur any damages on its route back to us as you will be responsible for any damages incurred while shipping. Please be sure to reference the return authorization number on the outside of the carton. We will gladly refund via a credit to your credit card, the cost of the item that you are returning. Unfortunately, we cannot refund the cost of any shipping charges. If you received free shipping with your purchase, the cost of the initial shipping and handling will be subtracted from your refund.

If the item was purchased by check or money order we will refund the cost of the item purchased.

Please note that many of our items are made by artisans around the world. When products are hand made there may be some degree of difference between same items. Ceramics in particular may have a tendency to have slight variations in color.

Ulalas reserves the right to cancel orders or refuse service to anyone at anytime. We reserve the right to cancel orders for items that have been advertised at a wrong price, discounted rate, have incurred an unusually long back order time or have been discontinued. We also reserve the right to cancel any order which was posted to the site with errors of color, style or price. If we cancel your order after we have charged your credit card, we will refund your card the amount charged.

Shipment Refusal:

Customers who refuse to accept delivery of any order will be held responsible for all postage and handling fees associated with delivery.
